Drug Rehab That Allows You To Still Go To Work & School
Many people put off the decision to enter treatment for substance use disorders because they their day to day responsibilities will too severely impacted. This includes not being able to go to work or school because of drug rehab. Outpatient rehab can be an ideal solution for many people who have these concerns. Outpatient treatment programs are a great option for people who want and need to continue going to work or school or both. Within outpatient rehab there are many different substance abuse treatment options. Each level of care has different time commitments and schedules to consider, but one of the greatest things an outpatient treatment plan always offers is flexibility.
Benefits of Outpatient Drug Rehab
There are a lot of benefits associated with outpatient drug rehab in West Palm Beach. First of all, it’s important to know that outpatient addiction rehab can be a person’s first and only stage of treatment or part of a comprehensive plan developed by one of our counselors. Addiction rehab in an outpatient setting is very flexible and can occur mornings, afternoons, evenings, and even weekends to accommodate a client’s needs as part of their treatment plan. Outpatient drug rehab also encompasses specialized treatment like Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP). Alcohol abuse, drug abuse, or addiction rehab for any substance can be addressed as part of outpatient treatment.
What To Expect During Outpatient Rehab
Outpatient drug or alcohol rehab is not the easy path or any less impactful than inpatient treatments. As part of an outpatient program, you will have an initial assessment by our addiction recovery counselors. This will help determine a baseline and which of our therapy approaches will work best for you. Drug or alcohol outpatient and inpatient treatments are all optional and in the end, the client is the one who makes the decision as to what level of care will work for them. We will always review all of the details regarding our treatment programs with our clients so they know exactly what to expect.
As part of outpatient care, both individual behavioral therapy and group counseling are available options. Outpatient rehab can also be combined with a stay at a sober living house. This scenario also allows clients to take part in a drug or alcohol rehab program while still going to school or work but also with the added benefit of staying in a safe, supportive environment.
How Long Does Outpatient Rehab West Palm Beach With DayBreak?
One of the other benefits of the personalized treatment provided in our outpatient programs is the flexibility to be any length of time the client needs. One of the goals of the individualized therapies offered as part of outpatient care is to get to a point where the patient feels comfortable going about their normal, everyday life without the need for regularly scheduled therapy sessions. In other words, outpatient drug or alcohol rehab lasts as long as it needs to based on each client. During this time, a rehab program can be adjusted many times, with individual and group therapy sessions being added and removed from the schedule. Additionally, an Intensive Outpatient Program or a Partial Hospitalization Program can be introduced as needed.
IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program)
An IOP, or Intensive Outpatient Program, is a plan developed by a behavioral therapy specialist for a patient who needs a higher level of care than a typical outpatient program. During an IOP a patient spends multiple hours in group and individual therapy sessions, several days a week. The exact number of days, typically three to five, and hours, usually two to five, are discussed and determined by the therapist and individual client.
PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program)
A PHP, or Partial Hospitalization Program, can be considered the more involved version of an IOP. During a PHP an individual still spends their nights at home or in a social living house, but during the day they may meet six to seven hours, five days a week, or in some cases, up to seven days a week. A PHP or IOP can be used by a therapist as a bridge between inpatient treatment and outpatient rehab or as an upgrade to existing outpatient care for a certain period of time. Unlike regular outpatient programs, a PHP or IOP is for a set period of time, often a set number of weeks.
Which Outpatient Treatment, IOP or PHP Is Right For Me?
If you are just beginning alcohol rehab or drug treatment, and considering an outpatient program, choosing the exact level of care you need is an important decision. The best course of action is to review all the aspects of typical outpatient treatment and what would be involved with an Intensive Outpatient Program or a Partial Hospitalization Program with one of our drug and alcohol specialists.
